Ok, I picked up a kerosene torpedo to warm up the garage so I can work on my tractors and to hopefully paint. The problem I am running into is that it will run fine for about 10-15 minutes and then turns off. If you let it sit for 10 minutes it will fire off and go again. If you try to restart it immediately, then it goes for 20 seconds and kicks off. The eye is clean, the spray seems to be good and the fuel is brand new clean kerosene. Any ideas on where to look for the issue? Thanks. |

| Carbon monoxide is probably the reason. I have the same problem after spraying some paint or starting the tractor. I think they do have sensors on them to auto shut down when C.M. is too high. It too needs clean air. |

| this will not help your running problems, but I have found that the low sulfur diesel runs just as clean as kerosene, with no more smell or smoke, and is a lot cheaper. |

| Probably a thermal disk overheat sensor gone bad. Google for a diagram. If it is clean internally. I would replace that item. Jim |

| | I think there is an overheat relay that will shut it down if the shroud gets to hot. Make sure you filters are clean the combustor head isn"t restricted with crud. A lot of these are used in costriuction sites where theres saw dust in the air and they can get pretty clogged. I bought one off a guy last monthh and it would light. That turned out to be due to both a cracked fuel hose and a cracked air line. The filters were clogged with saw dust and their was fine dust baked on a lot of the components. I took it all apart, cleaned it up, replaced the hoses and some other misc parts and it runs like a champ. |

| I don't think it has a cracked hose as it doesn't matter the quantity of kero in the tank. It doesn't have a thermostat and for as often as I use it, the price of Kero doesn't bother me since propane in my area is $4 a gallon, kero is a better deal. |

| That type of heat does no work with paint drying first too much air moving loaded with dust second the fumes should have bought a wall mounted with outside exhaust LP heater. Do you like the smell and the price of kero. |
