Read, once again, about the different penetrating oils in an earlier post. My question is, would it be safe to mix the acetone and ATF in one of those spray cans that you put pressure in with an air compressor? Not sure how much pressure they take, have just seen them at different places, and never really thought about buying one until now. Just wondering if it would work.

My question is how does one get Acetone and ATF to mix. The last time I tried it they do not mix - just like oil and water - no mixie.

What kind of ATF are you guys using?

BE careful. I put diesel fuel in my 3 gal garden sprayer and used it to spray under brush. When I got a fire started I sprayed the fuel in at the flame and it followed the spray back to the tip like it was gasoline. So ATF and Acetone I would think would make a finer mist you may not think harmful but if ignited look out!
I'm just talking from experience.

Of course it would work its not any more dangerous than the pre-mised stuff ever see the fire Wd-40 will make if light while being sprayed.

I am probably the person who says use ATF the most for the past 10 plus years and I almost never mix it with acetone. I do keep an old JD pumper oil can full of ATF and use it a lot as for the acetone I do not use it

Yes it will work and the 50/50 mix of acetone ATF works good at least I've had good luck with it.
