With all the real world statistics from labratory tests and real world crashes. The odds are overwhelmingly in your favour to properly wear a seatbelt. I'll take that hard data over somebody's opinion on the Internet.

And then there are the people who say they won't wear a seat belt because if they go off the road and into water they won't be able to get out and they will drown. Feb. 22 2006 I went off the interstate went air born and did enough damage to each of the six sides individually to total my truck but I was uninjured thanks to the seat belt and Ford Super Duty.

They should take all the seat belts out of airplanes and race cars...

In a few very specific situations a sealbelt has contributed to a death but it's a very low percentage.
