My father restored a late 40's or early 50's WD. It has dual wheels, and is parade ready ! Where can I sell it, and where can I discover it's true value ?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Without pictures, I'd say $1,800-$2,500. Runners will bring $700-$1,200. You can list it here, eBay, Craigslist, the other AC forum, local antique clubs, etc.

It DOES look kool, I know, When dad bought a 45 to replace our wornout wd my brother and I removed the wheels and tires off the wd reversed them and bolted them on the 45. Hooked it to the 13 foot disk and headed for plowed ground. I didnt have it set too realy cut deep but it did a good job. Cant remember back 40 years to say if it pulled it in 2nd or 3rd, Would like to say 3rd but believe it would have to be 2nd. I thought the buttons would pop off my shirt.

(quoted from post at 18:45:29 01/02/13) I would like to see pictures! Duals on a WD would look neat...maybe! LOL
he original poster probably means dual wheels on the front..that is what some call the narrow front configuration.

Jim, all anyone can do without seeing it in person is guess. The quality of the tires, paint, quality and depth of restoration will make it vary widely. Unfortunately unless it is a diesel, $3,000 would be top dollar.

If you want to sell it and really do not know what it is worth, your best bet is to find a well attended consignment auction.

Good luck.
