Went by there as they were wrapping up - Aeromed probably already gone. Saw the wrecker sitting along side the road, along with numerous emergency vehicles. Wrecker looked like a smaller pickup truck sized unit - older vehicle. Don"t have any idea what happened, but media reports say that northbound wrecker ran stopsign hit westbound mailcarrier. That would have been the Six Lakes PO, and their route. I get my mail from Edmore, so not my carrier(s). Sure I have probably met the SL carriers, but don"t know them personally. Reportedly mail carrier is in critical condition. Sad in any case. |

| Ya,DN said it was the tow truck that ran the stop sign. Wouldn't have been surprised if it had been the mail carrier though. I can tell you from driving milk truck for two years,a route driver really gets way too complacent. I came way to close to getting hit one time myself. I came up to a stop sign where I did every day, never was a car coming so evedently I didn't look very close, but there WAS a car coming that day. It was a close call. |
