Just sold a piece of equipment to a guy a couple thousand miles away. He used U ship to haul it. Guy showed up in an old
Chevy dually gasser and 30 ft. beavertail. . Not the kind of thing I would want to start a 4000 mile trip in. U ship thing is kind of interesting. Never heard of it before.

don"t think it was that idoit from u-ship it, he has a newer truck because the old junker broke down in one show, so he bought a new black one... i just hope that the shipper that showed up was better that the idoit"s on the show,, lol... also i have looked up their site and seen how things are up for bid,, sad way to try to make a living...

I guess you wanted a guy with a brand new Peterbilt with an equipment trailer to haul it for 50 cents a mile???

That U-Ship site is a joke. Usually below cost freight rates wanted.

One guy had a 20,000 lbs tractor wanted it shipped 600 miles and was willing to pay $500 or best quote to have it hauled. About laughed my butt off at that.

Shipping wars is strictly entertainment and they are subsidized substantialy to act that way.The girls are just a little to fake for your normal working girls.Of course if anyone actually believes that show then Pro wrestling is real. The guy that spilled the beans on Storage Wars was getting paid big bucks.

I have shipped a good bit through Uship. There is a mix of people on it. SOme are legit haulers who know their costs but are looking for backhauls and to fill out loads. There are some that are trying to be legit, have no idea on their costs, and after a year or so go back to their day jobs. Then, there are a ton that arent legit, dont have insurance or paperwork, and run for some extra cash....

JD I had a friend go get a 10,000 lb tractor in western Neb for me. About 600 miles one way.

I paid for the fuel, provided the trailer, and paid for one night in a hotel.

He did it just to get away for a couple of days but I gave him $200 for his time and wear and tear on his pickup.

Total costs came to $650 when fuel was $2.50 a gallon.

Her's a picture of him getting back home.

Me too! I sure wouldn't want that long haired guy hauling anything for me. I'm afraid I'd have to hurt the cocky b@stard before he got out of here.

I caught it the other night when the the grease ball with the mohawk and his old lady were trying to move a house boat with their trailer like the old guy said don't send a boy to do a man's work the show is a joke.

Agreed - that's why you check the rating of those placing bids. You don't have to take the lowest bid (nor should you).

We shipped a 250 excavator and and a D6 dozer from a Richie Action in Florida to Kansas using UShip. It helps when the truck is already sitting near by and doesn't have to deadhead across 5 states to pick it up.

Gary, IIRC that"s the tractor Allen found for you. Seems like he took the cab off it and put it on his 966, didn"t he?

Dunno, seems to me he's the only one who knows how to get stuff done.
