Christmas Day I told a story about changing an engine in a Ford tractor and it smoking badly until the oil burned out of the exhaust. I took the same engine and put it in another tractor and it did the same thing. When we cranked it yesterday It smoked so bad that it set off the smoke alarms inside my brother's shop and we were outside about 30ft. from the door.

| | Was reminded of 2 old stories I had forgotten until now. There was the local police chief, who held the whiskey as eveidence - then tested and got rid of it a half pint at a time. A local farmer, Wickhamn, noted that he was losing one corn shock each Thursday night. The local police could not help, so he armed and hid himself inside a corn shock blind. He was standing when suddenly a lasso caught him, and he felt himself being lifted up. He recognized the person, and said "Richard, put me down!" Richard yelled, dropped him and ran away. Came across Richard a few days later, he was shaken. Thought the ghost of his father had caught up with him and told him to bahave. (On a side note, Richard felt that Wickhamn owed him a wagonload of corn from the past year.) |

| | Kinda like years ago, my wife was on her way home from picking up our 3 yr old son and looked back to see the lights flashing. My son asked here what was it and she replied she would get a ticket and have to give the guy a lot of money. When the cop comes up to the window, my son looked over at his mother and quietly asked, "Mommy, does this mean we want have any money for Christmas presents?" That hard-hearted cop gave her a ticket anyway! (Yes, there was still money for Christmas, but HE DIDN"T KNOW THAT! |
