One place we lived, the best sledding hill for miles around was the hill on the playfield at the gradeschool. So we'd get 3 or 4 inches of snow, they'd cancel school, and by noon, most of the kids (and their parents) were at the school, sledding.
We had a similar snow a couple years ago here- supposed to get 6", got 20. Boy, that's a lot of snow to slog through! I've got a bulldozer with 6 way blade- that took care of the driveway in pretty short order. The norm here is 2-6 inches, and it usually warms up and melts in a couple of days.
