My son saved my bacon again. what I thought would be a simple job ,turned out to be a mind boggling affair. We stopped at the local sporting goods store for a blueing kit, to do the wifes pistol, which I bought back in 1956.The pistol is a WAC made if France, 380 acp. After the son disassembled the pistol, my job was to do the blueing end of it, according to the manual he reprinted bigger for my eyes. Well folks, best laid plans of mice and men, I managed to knock over the bottle of cleaning solution from the kit. Got myself all tired out from reading the directions, and only got the slide done. The rest my son finished, while I had to take a nap. Anyway the results are marvelous.Good blueing kit, well worth the money.First time fully reblueing anything. Now we let it dry 24 hrs, then re-oil and use. Son is making a leather holster for the new 22 convertable that is if I can keep from bothering him.lol.Have anyone here ever reblued pistols like that here? If so, I would enjoy some pictures. Regards, LOU |

| This is one I did many years ago. It's the same type Indiana Jones threw in his suitcase in 'Raiders...' (he used so many in that film). S&W model of 1902. |

| Looks like a nice job. I"ve done a couple three rifles with cold bluing process. Clean the metal, rub the metal with bluing compound. Usually turned out OK, but not as nice as a factory job. Some gunsmiths have a hot bluing process which I think would be much better. |

| | I've seen friends attempt it - which is why I've never done it myself! Never seen one done well. This one looks good though - good job. |
