You need to place your request over on the Ford forum. You will get more responses over there.

Well now you got it a little too empty. Is there a hand/finger pump lever on the side of a fuel pump? Crack open the other lines off the injectors, and keep at pumping it, or churn the starter-
A CAV pump?
BTW- What 'rods' are you talking about?

ey Tony, yes, lever is on primer pump. I have fuel to one cyl, but nuttin to other 2 cyls. I have drug the thing around to get all air out. The rods i was talkin about are the plungers in the inj pump. They all are movin up and down. Whats next? BTW, I'm an electrician not a mechanic. LOL

If it's a CAV injection pump and/or a Perkins
engine, ask on the Massey forum. There is a spring
hooked on the cover and a several positions it can
go in. If it's not hooked up EXACTLY the same way it
came off, you'll probably be paying the $800 to fix
it. I don't understand why you wouldn't ask first
before taking the cover off the injection pump. Have
you never changed fuel filters and bled the fuel
system before?

ok, if i'm understanding you right, you have an in-line pump-[line ports straight up, in a row. you removed the small allen head screws holding the plunger body to pump--removing it & plungers? plungers must go back in same bore. they must engage in rack properly, springs must be seated proper & not broken-if you got all this back right, look for bleeder on the plunger block--

I thought of it this morning- after mite-help posted here, but yeah, you know there are atleast 2 bleeders? The lower section and on the side of the top cover? And you might have an airbound bubble in your filter/filters?
It is a CAV right?

You junked the injection pump by taking the top off of it. The pistons are set in the bores for the correct fuel delivery.

Kind of like going out and cutting your electric transformer pole down when all that need done was a fuse replaced.

You should have loosened the injector lines and cranked/pulled it around until all the air was out of the system. With the injection lines tight they will not bleed very fast just pulling it around.

That $800 may just be a starting point. You may have really damaged the pump beyond repair. Good luck you are going to need it.
