We grew these trees from seedlings we got from the 4H program here in NJ. I used to dig one up bring it inside in a tub and replant them after Christmas. Last year I had all I could do to get one in the house. This year my daughter chose the one at the top right,I cut it,its in the house ready for her and mom to decorate it.

Larry@stines,
That will be really pretty. I like real trees, but we have an artificial pencil tree because it fits in our small house better.

Did you put landscaping cloth under the mulch by the trees? Or does the mulch keep weeds down good enough without it? It looks nice. We have thought of doing that around a row of pines to make mowing easier.

I didnt put fabric, but it would be a good idea.I started out with many years of putting free regular wood chips, just in the last few years I topped it with red mulch that I had to buy,So the mulch is pretty deep, and the weeds dont grow to bad,My wife liked the red better, because thats what the neighbors have, lol

very nice, like the dark color to it also, one we got has a lot of brown tips from lack of rain, sure the women will do a great job of decorating, while you rest from the long trip getting the tree :)

Is that a park or something?
It reminds me of one of those estates that the English Gentry live on.
And what's the old guy doing in the nice picture of the pine tree anyway?
Kind of ruins it as far as I'm concerned.
wink,
I always like the photos - and it's fun to put a face upon a handle here.
Thanks

As a kid, Dad thought we would get a live tree with the roots..kept it in a wash tub and then planted it in the yard..last I put my eyes on it, it is at least 60 feet tall. I always remember that it was in the house one year.
