Take a borescope light and look into each cylinder to see how much rust is there. If it doesn't have much rust I would soak the pistons with atf then jack up a rear wheel and put the tranny in the highest gear and rock the tire to see if the fan moves. If there's a lot of rust in the cylinders you probably need to pull the head and oil pan. Then pour kerosene on top of a piston and set it on fire. Make sure you remove anything flammable around the engine. Don't do this near any building. Remove the rod cap on the piston you heated and use a piece of 2 X 2 oak and a big hammer and try to drive out the piston holding the oak against the rod. Hal |
