marvel mystery oil

Its been around for a long time.
Great stuff for many uses.
It makes a fairly good penetrating oil, a lot of people use it to free stuck engines for example.

Used it a few times to help free up stuck rings in both tractors and cars. Plus, I like the smell of it....much better smelling than SAE140.

I use it in everything I own. My S-10 has 256,000 and when I changed plugs they were clean. I put it in the crankcase and add to gas. Lately I've been running a small amount with my chainsaws and they seem to come out of summer vacation sooner.
Google Marvel Mystery Oil and read some of the testimonials, good stuff.

no bad things about it. add to gas tank for upper cyl. lube and to diesel for injection pump lube. this is the stuff i use. and will take it anyday over auto trans oil as an additive.

Used it years ago but found that the only thing it does better then ATF is the smell. MMO and ATF prety much do the same thing but the ATF costs about half and yes it does not smell as good but for half the price I can live with a smell I do not really like. Or in other words the 2 are so close to being the same why spend the extra $$

Marvel Mystery oil IS ATF! Back when I went to the U of MD, My EDIT 101 teacher, Lynne Aumiller, tested it in a lab, I believe he said it was dextron II !

I have used it to free sticky valves due to real old gas. Once I get the valves freed up I add it to new gas.

i dont think so. atf has friction additives. each oil is formulated for its use. a 4 litre jug here is 23.00 and 1 litre of auto trans is around 5.00 so go figure.

I have used it for years. Always put a quart in with the engine oil when I change oil. Also use it in the gas on lawnmowers.

The only mystery in Mystery Marvel Oil is why some people buy it. But then people do like snake oil for their health.

I have a flathead Wisconsin engine on a welder if I don't add a little MMO when I add gas one of the valves will start to stick a little and not run right. It'll also help decarbon a diesel engine.

MMO is 27% solvent. The wintergreen smell comes from a chemical not wintergreen oil.A little MMO in my tractor gas ruined the O ring in the shutoff valve.Ford 640, Use MMO at your own risk. The idea that MMO is dexron dosent compute since MMO has been around since 1927.Dexron is the proper spelling.GM developed Dexron much later.

Wintergreen oil is an old time penetrant.A chemical called menthal salicylate gave the smell..spelling probably wrong.

comes in a red container and works - freed up a frozen lifer in a four cyl motor for me. Have it on the self at all times for that little problem that will show up.

I use to put that shat on everything. Then I found out about ATF. Now I put it on or in everything. Ford type F if they have it on sale.
