Had a big 2 weeks, 1st I thought I was going to be able to turn my liberty bell stamps right side up after four years of things being upside down, well we know how that went. then I turned 70 last Thursday which makes me wonder what to do with my 77 when all is said and done. I have 3 brothers, but were all in the same age group, so that dosen't help.no other family members seem interested. the tractor has been in the family since new. What would you gals-guys do? Thanks for looking, Chuck

I would leave the stamps alone. :)
As for the tractor, no one is interested? Not even nieces or granddaughters?
If that's the case, I might look for a local collector, or wanna be who would
put it to use as you want it to be used.
That's a great looking machine. I wouldn't want it just setting in a barn somewhere.
BTW, happy birthday!

NICE Ollie!! When I as a kid we had DC and SC Case tractors. Did field work from 6 years and up. So the neighbor would hire me to fall plow when Dad didn't need me. He had a 77 and 3/16s, loved the sound of that 77. Could have almost converted me!!

Nice tractor. Turning 70 isn't much different that 69 enjoy it. Having turned 70 in July myself, that thought has crossed my mind. I have several nice motorcycles. My tractors are just work tractors. When I get so I can't climb up on my tractors. I don't care much what happens to them. I have my Dad's F12 he used for farming. I promiced that to the family he bought it from in the late 30's. I would like to see my kids get my motorcycles. For now things are normal. Stan

Back in my younger days, I'm only 72, stamps upside down, or bottom side up, meant that it was a special message from a "girl back home" to her sweet heart off somewhere in the military. Also the reverse, from the guy off somewhere serving Uncle Sam to his special girl back home.

I'd leave the stamps alone for a while to see what develops. As for the tractor,it's beautiful, don't guess it is for sale? I don't have an Oliver in my stable but I'd make room, and it would have a good home, don't think the Cockshutts would mind.

That was the tradition when I was in the Navy too Willie.
And that wasn't that long ago. 1997.
I kind of hid that in my "leave the stamps alone" comment.

welding man, no shes not for sale, but i,m sure she would fit in with your Cockshutts. Stan pretty normal here to, 70 feels just like 69 so far. casecollectorsc, our neighbor had a dc that i plowed with, couldn't keep the front end down on the hills. thanks for looking, chuck

Chuck, seeing as you can't take it with you, the trator nor the money it would bring, I'd do one of several things. A. find a young guy who would love to have it but because of kids just can't afford it right now, (I'm not talking some guy who is broke, just some guy who can't justify it because he puts his kids first) and let him have it. or B see if your county museum would like to have it. or C. a local tractor club with thier own grounds that has a show every year.
