Update on TD18

I had a shaft built at a machine shop and installed it yesterday, things seem to be running true

Nice setup. I'm guessing you are going to finish the mechanicals before you repaint..

It looks like fine machining. I think that the Ujoint is going to be a mechanical fuse. Meaning that it might just be too small to allow the torque of that 6 cyl to be tamed. Jim

am thinking the same thing, gonna try it tho. If that dont work I have to get a different kind of coupling, there isnt much room

Scroll down on this page. the second item is what I would do. It would bolt on as your yoke adapter is now. Since all the holes are concentric, it should be fibne and dandy. Jim

know of them couplings, my planer has something simular to that
