The price of parts and tires has really hurt the value of older tractors. Age/health of older tractor fans might have something to do with it too.

Sound cheap in a way,I used to fix up old tractors to use around the farm but with the price of fuel old gassers are just too expensive to run compared to the foreign built diesels and some older ones of the diesels have gotten pretty cheap too.Plus food and fuel have gone up so much so quickly its kept some people out the tractor market because they can't even keep up with their basic bills.

Hi Guys
I am in Manitoba Canada. I think this is a sign of the times the tractor market is dead up here too.

I used to sell fordson majors for $5000 restored for acreage guys. These guys aren't buying land like they used too, as the return on the dollar for livestock is down due to feed costs and it's cheaper to stay near town for work than comute 100 miles a day from the country. The tractors dropped to $3000 last year if a guy came to look. Now I can"t give them away and am just doing things for my collection. I personally think the price of parts is killing our hobby A $1000 dont go anywhere now with tires and stuff. The price of fuel is killing transport in getting stuff home and to shows. As a younger guy(38) restoring stuff I find the older guys I used to ask if I was stuck, and that used to buy this stuff a lot are pushing daisy"s. There also aren't many of us younger guys that want or can afford to do this anymore either sadly.
Regards Robert

Tractor prices are down around here, but some of those seem less than scrap value.

Its a shame if that's where they're headed.

Too much history to just throw away.
At least part them out to keep another running.
