Mr Bossman, Dennis needs a bigger trailer!! I recommend a new 53' tractor trailer. He deserves it for being such an exceptional employee!!!

JD=BR ,CASE=DO , fm=A , FM=230 AND Fm=b tri .I Think a 24 with 5ft dove would work to move 2 at a time , 3 at a time seems a little much even for my 3500 chev . any thoughts ? how much better would a gooseneck be?

Being that you said boss I"m assuming your being paid to haul them? If so then there"s nothing to be complaining about. If your not being paid then I would be sending a bill, especially if my own truck was involved.

Just my 2 cents,

To be honest i take them all once a year and love the drive, trees turning and all, just fuel is so high now.could cut cost in half takeing more than one.

Hahaha, sorry, that went right over my head. I am married to a wonderful lady who doesn't keep track. I have four that have been around awhile and she's come to recognize those but the rest come and go to the point where she doesn't even notice, let alone care. I must have married the exception 8)

these pix displays the danger of loading and unloading ,I KNOW EVERYONE Is CAREFUL , But STUFF HAPPENS !, Just a thought,,. at the most prominant shows i would like to see L shaped loading docks ..if you ever saw a tractor slip off the ramp and flip over it would make anyone cringe and say their hail marys each time ..

Pulling up onto a trailer, or even backing on does not induce the pucker factor that going down the ramps backwards or forward does I too would like to see back in unloading docks. gobble

Your post brings back a memory of a load of Case DB tractors that was delivered to us when we were dealers, The Case DB were ariving into an assy plant in Jacksinville Florida, and shipped to the NE dealers from there. We had an open order in a 1690MFD/cab, 16902WD/cab, and 1490MFD open station. One day an unusual truck trailer pulled into our yard with all three tractors on a fifth wheeler like yours with all 3 onboard. The driver, 65ish was a nervus reck. His horse was no more than a high end camper hauler. When he got here he was a total nervus reck, and couldn't even back up to our dock. He told us that he had to abandon one of the tractors in Penn. because the horse's tranny couldn't pull the grades. Had to abandon another one at a different site at the summit and go back for the first one he left.
I would dare say that was his first and last attempt at recreational hauling.
Moral of the story; just because you can load it on, doesn't mean you can haul it. LOL

well the biggest load that i had on my goose neck was one 1066 with can duals a full rack of ft. weights and four sets of do nut weights on the rear and one 806 with cab full rack on the ft. and three sets on the wheels and duals across three states . hauled a J D 320 and a 330 and a massey 95 from iowa to ohio . The old 88 Ford F350 did a fine job for me . Bought it used as and ex oil field refugee with 62000 miles on it with every u/joint out of it and every wheel seal leaking . when i sold it it had 287000 on it and still going. Never hauled more then it would pull and never drove it faster then it would go .

tell her how much money youll save by not making so many trips.if that doesnt work, remind her of how much more peace and quiet time she would have because you would be gone longer.if that dont work buy one anyway. THEORETICALY she will get over being mad in 50-60 years.though youll have to listen to her for at least that long!! LOL

Suurree. We'd all be glad to mention it to her. But you're still the one who is gonna have to kiss her ask for it....

Used to haul a 2020 utility wide front, an A, a 50, a 530 & a 3020, all narrow front, all JD's, on a 40' ft flat bed! That was [u:8de42576b5]full[/u:8de42576b5]! :roll: :wink:

Picture that appeared in Oliver Heritage #43, June/July 2011 of 7 Oliver Super 55's that my brother loaded at the Charles City, IA factory in Winter 1957. B61 Mack road tractor w/673ci 175 hp Mack engine, pneumatic starter; air brakes on the 34' single axle trailer.
Picture taken at destination, Leinbach Machinery Co, Winston-Salem, NC.
Factory staff brought running tractors off the assembly/testing line to Charles who drove them on the trailer with use of two short boards to "piggy-back" the front wheels over the rear wheels. Front wheels of first tractor are resting on thick oak boards hanging over the front of the trailer.
Brother was sent to local balcksmith for a 5/8" rod bent to make an off-center "V" to clamp the Regis (Stay) and Steering Tie Rods so front wheels were locked from turning which would have resulted in damage on the oil pan on one tractor and steering shaft on the other;steering wheels were removed on all but the first and last tractor for this method of transport.
Brother had to sign a waiver in case of damage or if anyone was hurt, that he would have been responsible. He had loaded tractors in a similar manner at the Minneapolis Moline factory before!
