I have a 05 Dodge with the cummins engine with 150000 miles on it. It has the 6 speed tranny. Between 2 and 3 gear it has a little miss or a skip in the engine after that it sounds great. It seems to be doing it more often . I have changed the fuel filter and I am running some fuel conditioner. The sound it makes is like when you click your tongue. I use this to pull my tractors around and do not want it to break down.what would I look for and what ideas do y'all have. Thanks |

Sounds transmission related, not engine related. If it only does it between 2 gears and not before or after. It's either 2nd or 3rd gear syncronizer (sp). probably. |

| I did not think about that but it is a manual 6 speed tranny. |
