Guys, I just have to let off this steam. I came home from work (actually my extra job)only to find 2 welders stolen from my barn. Luckily none of my wrenches or other tools were taken. I did have serial numbers and model numbers. The deputy said I probably would never get them back (which I know) but it really burns me up. Thanks for listening Charles

Funny story, a friend was over last week he said that ad just bought a new 44 mag pistol and had it on the stand beside the bed. He woke up and roled over late one night his hand hit the gun. When he did this he heard a voice. "let's get out of here"
Saw three guys running down the road.

Had a boarder collie when was a teen. If you came on the property and didn't let anyone know that you were there he follow you around as soon you touched something he would take you down right there and stand over you growling and letting you see his mouth full of og large teeth.

Any flea markets close? Won't hurt to check this weekend. Make sure you have a copy of the police report with the serial numbers.

Found and old hammer out in a field and threw it in the back of my p/u. Surprised its still there. In Dallas, they will steal anything.

Start visiting the local scrapyards, you might spot them, before they gut them for the copper!

Few welders use copper now.The Lincoln 225 has never been wound with copper.Centurys Ive worked on were aluminum,Same with Forneys.I have an old Weldmaster that is wound with cotton covered copper. Its so old there no mention of it on the internet. Most small welders will bring 100 bucks here, stolen for resale more likley.Best to put your name inside large equipment and mark all small tools with a metal engraver.Woman caught a money crook with a game camera on her vegetable stand.Sheriff Id the crook from pix.

may be worth keeping an eye of sites like Craigsli for a while to see if they pop up. You never know.

Friend of mine had a trailer mounted welder stolen last year.A week later they found it on the side of the road. Nothing missing. Never have figured that one out.

The copper cores is what they wanted. Other metals are down, and tools... remind them of ...'work'...

Then you have the other kind that dump their unwanted items in our ditch. Old TVs, tires, live dogs and cats, etc.

Woman that I did some brush cutting for in Aug had a snowmobile stolen last week. Had to be one of her daughters "friends" as it's well off the road and they didn't rumage around any, just took the sled. Bad part is it had new 3 year regestration on it.

My son had a Doberman. Bit everybody that got out of a car or pickup, but loved kids. We never lost anything when he was around. Old age got him a couple years ago.

Unfortunate that everyone is not willing to work for what they want - rather than stealing. Bummer.

TomR Ont.,
Unless g o v runs out of dollars...
Not sure there will be any funds left to that, by the time we reach the age of retirement - because funds have been misappropriated for everything under the sun.

Sadly, I had a much older sister who was widowed with three tiny children. Sadder still, is the fact that basically MOST of the funds she collected were squandered on a series of no-account guys until she finally married one. Then ALL the money went for boats, bikes, pickups for him (plus he liked to gamble)...those poor kids never got any benefit from it other than the clothes on their back. That man was HORRIBLE to them, very abusive. He treated them worse than stray dogs, though HE was the only daddy they ever knew (being they ranged from newborn to 5 years old when thier real dad died).

Figure we will just work until we cack. Not because of debt - we live pretty frugally. But have to feed the wealth redistribution machine. T.AXES and death are the only certainties that I know of.

No, they are getting their full "take" off of welfare, they just steal to supplement their "real"job.
