Yesterday I saw regular at 4.71. Probably more today. Premium is over 5.00 in some stations. What the heck is going on. Maybe living Calif has something to do with it? glad I am done with my mowing, and discing for this year. Stan

Cousin in Callifornicate went to an orggy there yestaday. Said he went to a gas station to watch a dozen folks all getting screwed at the same time.......

$3.95 a gallon, this evening at ARCO in Yelm Washington. Filled the Ford truck! This is Puget Sound area!

4.80 here. Sad to see prices that close to Canadian prices, though it is likely Canadian gas. external_link gave the country what he promised.

$3.80 when I filled up yesterday. Was $3.60. Must have figured the demand was down so they had to make up for lost $$$. It has fluctuated up and down 30 and 40 cents in a weeks time all summer and so far this fall. Might as well charge what they want while they can. Someday we won't be dependent on this stuff.....right?

A fire at the Chevron refinery in Richmond and a electric problem at the MobilExxon Refinery in Torrence has cut deep into California gasoline production. Also the economies are booming in the San Diego and San Francisco Bay areas increasing demand dramatically. Add to this supply problems due to switching from summer to winter spec gasoline causes kinda a perfect storm of high prices.

$8.30-$9.00 on the german pumps.... Americans pay usually about 15 cents above the US average....

Your stupid government in the state cant build a pipeline cant drill cant build another refinery its been going on for yrs and now the whole state is broke just follow your people you elect to congress ect and on top of that look at all the illegal people there.

Filled up at Sam's Club on Saturday for $3.57. Snowbirds will flock here this winter thinking that they'll have cheap gas all winter.

We'll be switching to winter blend soon and price will go up 15 - 30 cents/gallon - and mileage will go down with winter blend.

Best I've seen here in around Charlotte, NC is in the 3.65 range. Go South a few miles to the SC line and it drops about 30 cent a gallon right at the line because their tax is alot lower than ours.

Dave,
With $9 gas, do germans drive their kids to school in a gas guzzling SUV or put them on a bus?

Do german kids drive to high school or do they use a bus?

Are there drive up windows where you sit in your car with the engine running, or do they get out of their car's and walk in?

What else do germans do to save gas?
George

Life goes on.... They drive big Mercedes' and BMW's, some SUV's, but they don't use the gas that a suburban does.... They don't think they need an F450 to pull a popup camper either...... Public transportation is plentiful and reasonable also and trains are very easy access... Also see a lot of scooters and bicycles.... A 6 cyl motor is BIG...... My little car has a 1.0 liter motor and zooms along easy at 80 mph on the autobahn getting 30+ mpg.....

Around $ 3.41 middel Tenn. May be 10 cents lower some places and 10 cents higher in others but somewhere around $ 3.41

I read an AP article the other day that California uses a special blend of gas when it's hot out to help with emissions, and they had problems with some refineries over there. Here in NY it's $4.09 regular, and diesel is $4.28

Oil right under 100.00 barrel and Gas at 2.80 wholesale market price range, should be more like 1.25 -1.50 wholesale and 2.25-2.50 at pump. Now who is stealing?????

Gasoline has been falling in most parts of the country outside of CA.

CA bureaucrats, in their infinite wisedom, require special blend(s) of gasoline for use only in CA. These designer blends are made exclusively (?) in CA. As a result, there is NO margin for error such as when a plant is taken off line for any reason.

CA residents, and no one else, can over time, reverse the state nonsense.

Regular in the Cincinnati area is a bit over $3.50.

Took a trip to Texas last week to get the new RV, lowest I paid was $3.31 and $3.33 in parts of Arkansas and Texas but "back home again in Indiana" this week its $3.89

It was around $1.89 when the current President took office, now its doubled that and the media used to blame the President for high gas prices, but for some reason now its NOT the Presidents fault whatsoever HMMMMMMMMM so when IS IT a Presidents fault and when IS IT NOT a Presidents fault??? Think about it

John T

AMEN, it used to be the Presidents fault when gas was high ($1.84) but now all a sudden when its doubled its NO LONGER IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER THE PRESIDENTS FAULT hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well, I was in Conneticutt this weekend, and low octane is 4.30 odd, almost half a buck more that discount stations in Mass- and wasn't a couple weeks ago, if you think it is abundant California only, the state must be expanding to the east coast.
If fuel isn't going up where you live, don't tell anyone, or the world will line up at your local pumps. The US dollar is falling on the world exchange, and states need to raise tax to pay for all the road and bridge projects. Money got to come from somewhere... no such thing as abiotic cash....

Amarillo, Tx last Saturday was 3.55 unleaded, road diesel 4.19.
Here in SW Oklahoma, unleaded is 3.62 and road diesel is at 3.86.
Ralph in SW OK.

Dave,
Does your 1L car have bicycle pedels to assist in getting up to speed? :)

Most who drive mopeds where I live, have lost their license because of driving while drunk. We call mopeds Liquor-cycles.
George

John, do you remember before the last election when the media was totally obsessed with the casualities (deaths of American soldiers) in Iraq? Everyday, they blared the new death toll, implying that the USA under nnalert leadership was 100% responsible for the carnage. As soon as the media got their new president, they suddenly became SILENT about the death toll, even though the actual death rate continued. A huge set-up to turn the American electorate against Bush and the GOP, and using our troops as the political pawns. Outrageous. The RR campaign could be making a big deal about the daily death toll in Afganistan to pin it all on BO, but they have enough dignity to refrain.

Dave, Do you need a license for a bicycle?

I know of a guy driving a liquor-cycle. He came up to a stop light and passed out, drunk. Good news, he was stopped when he passed out. Bad news, the cops were right behind him. He went to jail for 6 months.
George

went down to see Army foot ball this weekend. saw $4.11 in new york. paid $3.74 in new jersey. paid $3.73 back in massachusetts today.

(quoted from post at 14:11:03 10/08/12) Dave, Do you need a license for a bicycle?

No, but a bicycle is a vehicle and operating a vehicle on a public road or path while intoxicated will fix things so you don't operate any other vehicles There are a few if's, and's, and but's........ but that's the gist of it....
