Looking for a water pump for my 7710. I see prices of either about 80 bucks or 180 bucks. Do you get what you pay for with these? Or is the 80 dollar one just as good?

| well it turns out i needed it today-couldnt wait. So I went to the new holland dealer. $200 for the front of the pump. Is there a kit to rebuild the old pump?

| Personally I would NOT buy an aftermarket water pump...
You can get the front half of the OEM pump without a core or any other screwing around for about the same money.
You also want to be carefull that you get the pump that you NEED, not the one that some of these outfits list as fitting 2 dozen different Fords. Later engines were more sensitive about the pump used than earlier ones... ie... there were many more variants.
Get the date code (UNIT) off the tractor before you go shopping.Rod

| bought mine on eaby for like $60 with my core from a guy who rebuilds them and re sells them. mine has been all yr with no problems. yes they are all probly the same quality. i never buy the expensive stuff cause most the time the cheaper stuff is just as good.
