ot:what's this buggie worth?

grandpa got this with a pair of shetlands, the ponies and grandpa are long gone, and tuesday grandma sold the property this was at, so were stuck with it, brakes don't work, and it is how it looks,

the main "tub" and uprights for the seat are metal, i have a feeling the tag on the back is just stuck on there

About $3.50 scrap price. Bt they will cut that price if you don't remove the tires.

Ya,I wouldn't think it's worth much like that. The Mennonites around here use rubber tired ones,but nothing that looks that rough. Even they have more pride than that.

In my area it would go at least $100.00 of not more. Brakes are simple to fix, you've got good springs, it's pretty complete. It would cost a bunch to build one. Put it on Craigs List for $350.00 and see what you get.

I think that is a good idea,... I've seen some rough looking 2-wheel carts sell for that price.

That is actually an antique buggy chassis. Even the axles are old, just somebody took off the spoke wheels and put on the tires and brakes. That tag is an original. Those are the original springs if looks are not decieving. But in the shape its in, 350 sounds like a good starting place.

As John said, that is all original buggy parts. GO try and find the springs and mounts and build the box and then try and find the bows for the top. This ones needs some work, yes, but it'd cost far more than $350.00 to gather the parts and put it together.

buggie sold today for $400. CASH, didn't really advertise, just sat it outside with a small sign on it, feller came in monday just passing by and asked about it, then he called seeing if it was still there and started to jew, i simply said " we've looked around and that's the low end of what buggies like that are bringing", he agreed and 15 min later he showed up with a trailer and 4 big'uns
