OT work this week

Been building these cabinets this week between visiting the Granddaughter-she was born on Tuesday, thanks for asking! Started the install this morning. I like to hang the uppers first-I built a 'jack', but it goes to the floor, so it works best without the lowers! The lowers will continue to the left of the one that is already installed.

What's the deal with the paint on the wall?
Looks like it ends in the middle of the last cabinet on the right.

That is a new wall, or 30" extension of an existing wall. All I can figure is the tape and mud was not done when they painted. They usually put on a primer coat, then 1 color coat. They put the last coat on after most everything else is done, so the paint does not get messed up!
