Steel on steel in the chamber, the bolt face- and the 'space age alloy' in your upper reciever is fine for Y3K or a zombie attack, but, not if your rifle is to last a long long time. Brass cases take the pounding rather than the expensive or irreplaceable steel parts. That's why some live to get reloaded, some got smashed keeping your rifle from getting smashed. And... if this stuff is from eastern Europe or Asia... if most likely has a corrosive primer, no swet with your chrome barrel, but the rest of the action would have to be field stripped and cleaned with solvent at the end of every shoot without fail. I have lived thru atleast 5 gun grabbin black helicopter, red hoard invasions, so I wouldn't be so impatient to not hunt down a stash of brass cased FMJ, or handload whatever brass and bullets you do run across. But you finding 32-20 brass is enough of a find to make my year, good going! [Reply]  [No Email]

They have been run'n 55gr PMC fmj's in their sales pretty regular. While my mini 14 will eat anything I feed her these are very accurate out of my little NEF handi rifle I keep in the truck. About 1 in 40 with fail to extract. Don't now the brand off the top of my head and he's down south right now visiting grand kids. If you have a choice, opt for soft point or hollow point.. Military "Ball" is is adequate.. For my bolt-action and groundhogs, I like a 40gr Ballistic Tip over a FULL case of IMR 3031.. Olympic specifically tells you it won't work - but I had to try it out for myself just to make sure - it only made it through 4-5 rounds before it started failing to feed - chamber was all gunked up. Some steel ammo will not work in any kind of AR rifle. Rifle shot anything I fed it. Hope you Stag is the same way. Try a couple boxes before you stock up in large quanities. I noticed that the steel cased Wolf ammo was much dirtier than other ammo. It is a shotgun scope in their catalog. Can be had for under $150. Bright, clear, repeatable adjustments. On 2x it is super fast and with some practice you can keep both eyes open.
