What part of in La do you not understand
1) your house gets flooded.

2) the government spend billions providing you with a free trailer to use while you rebuild your house.

3) you get sick because these trailers are proven to have hazardous levels of formaldehyde.

4) you sue the trailer manufactures and installers.

5) a judge orders the trailer manufactures to pay 37.5 million and installers to pay 5.1 million.

6) after you pay lawyers and other fees each plaintiff is expected to get less than $600.

Dag people its been over 7 years since Katrina. Just get on with life.
 
When I was farming back in the 1980's, we had a drouth one summer.

Congress made a big production out of appropriating something like $9 million in emergency payments to farmers. When the dust cleared and the smoke settled, I got a check for $84.00.

I filled the car with gas and took my wife out to dinner.
 
After the drought of 76, farmers got a check for $3750. Lots of new pickups bought that year! Used mine to help with the farm payment. Never have been able to buy a new pickup!! Course back then you could buy a pickup for less than $5000.
 
I have my check on the wall in my computer room. It for thing or other that the lawyers sued a company for.
Yep all 19 cents of it went to decorate my wall.

If we only had more big brother government rules n regulations n spending n more taxes and more then our current 16 TRILLION in debt and more government stimulus money this would all be fixed right??????????

Yup, that's what the liberals are saying: Just give govt more money (tax the rich) and let the libs decide how to re-distribute it. Same goes for regulations, like the renewable energy BS. Tree-huggers say "don't use coal" which is cheap and are pushing laws on utilities to generate electricity by more expensive means (solar, wind). How can they force me to pay more for something just so they can feel eco-good? Unfortunately, we don't have lawmakers with any kohones to stand up to these people.
