An implement tire blew on me not a half mile from my driveway, dont understand why, I always pick the highest quality tire from the tire stores junk pile...lol

| There's a service station in town that will mount a used "will hold air" tire for $10. Can't beat it for tobacco wagons and such that don't go fast and only get used a few weeks a year.

| Yall's makin my tires look good. I just peeled a flat un offa spoked
rim, with bronze bushings. hadda go get the duckbill hammer,
cause the axle hole wasn't big enough to fit on the manuel tire
changer. I may not get the first mile outta a tire, but I damnsure
get the last one out!

| Had a very nice looking take off tire on my flail chopper. Earlier this summer, it blew: BOOM! Just sitting in the yard - wasn"t even thinking of using it.

| | From the time I was 13 (about 1962), I had a '49 Chev that I drove 3 miles to my farm job after school and on weekends. Dad and I had a deal- I always had a spare tire, and when I had a blowout, I put on the spare and drove home, very slowly and carefully. I was deadlined until I got a new spare. Put the blowout and rim in Dad's rig, he'd stop by Capitol Auto Wreckers in Olympia, WA on his way back from work, and trade it in on another bald but air-holding tire and rim, for 2 bucks. That becomes my spare, and I'm back on the road. Tires were always bald, but I'd usually get several weeks out of them. Sometimes not, but hey, 2 bucks is not gonna kill ya, especially if Dad is paying it, and it worked for me. Did I mention that I had a tab at the local gas station, and Dad would pay it at the end of the month? He always did what he could to keep me working, and I learned that good things happen as long as you bust your butt. It went unsaid that if I quit my job, the gravy train would derail, but quitting never occurred to me. I wish kids these days had similar opportunities.

| Been running Firebone, Good Beer and Unloyals on my wagons fer years. I may not always get as many miles or years out of them as a new one, but at $150 for a new one, I'll make do with the store brand. Some of the last 'new' ones I have are on the manure spreader. Looking at them closely, they're recapped truck tires. I've had to replace two of them, and a neighbor gives me the tires off his tractor when he changes them so DOT is happy. They look better than the 'new' ones on the spreader.

| Ah heck I've been replacing my truck tires with used 20$ Michy's now. Whenever I buy new tires bad stuff happens to them right away. Last month driving my wifes car I hit a rock off a dump truck and ruined two new tires and two rims. Recognized the truck as the guy I use, flagged him down on his next run and he helped me get a spare on. Told him he owed me some tires, he told me to talk to my insurance company. Don't think I'll be hiring him again.

| I have been getting the tires for our daily drivers from the
same type place Lyle. Hundreds of thousands of miles on
free tires. Very very little trouble.Glenn F.

| I just bought two full sets of tires for semi tractors and 4 recaps for the upcoming winter weather. Don't tell the wife, but it came to just shy of $10,000.
