I have a super A the tractor is almost unresponsive to the throttle. I have looked at the governor but everything seems ok. Is there something I'm missing?

You need to look at the linkage and all that other stuff. With it running at an idle try working the gov/carb linkage by hand and see how that goes and if when you try to open it up as ion more RPM if the gov tries to slow it down. Missing springs and that sort of thing causes odd problems

How much play does the input shaft have thats a good starting place. The spring inside mite be worn then the linkage on the out-put shaft to the carb mite need adjusting. The arm on the carb could have play and mite even have slipped some. With engine off remove the pin in the clevis going to the carb. Now open throttle and by holding carb linkage open the pin should go back in if not adjust the clevis. Be careful adjusting the clevis as it has paint ect on the threads. Mite need to remove linkage and get clevis working free. You can get the gov housing rebushed to fix the wobble on the input shaft i do them all the time.

Remove that housing & replace the spring inside. Remember, the spring opens the throttle & the flyweights close it.
