Had to clean out the old freezer today

Went to look in the freezer today for something and noticed the frost on the sides was falling off and when I lifted the lid water ran out of it. Pulled the compressor cover plate off and found the compressor so hot I could not put my hand on it. Check Craig's list and got lucky to find another one close and pretty cheap. Heck of a way to clean out a freezer and hope I do not have to do so again for at least 10 plus years. But at least now I have another feed storage bin. Been using an old freezer to store feed for years and boy does it work well

No ground hog lost but the out door cats got a treat. They got the deer livers we had in it. Wife like them liver but I do not so she said give it to the cats. Chicken also got a few of the older frozen veggies and other such stuff

Also great for old books, pictures, and papers. They would even survive a small fire. Neighbor built an upright one into a cement wall.

I have not and will NEVER go fishing in the Lake of the Ozarks great big septic tank of the Ozarks. One of the biggest septic tanks ever known to man. When built in the late 30s they did not understand that it flows down hill and there are many homes that have the leach lines that flow right into the lake so NOPE will never fish there

Old get yourself a freezer alarm. They cost $25-35. Which is cheap if you save a freezer full of food. I have a wireless one. I have the alarm in the kitchen. It read the two freezers in different places on one read out. Here is a picture of one that is on Ebay right now for $36.

Old there is not anyone on this board that is dumb enough to belive the EPA , your zoneing and health depts. etc. , etc. would let leach lines dump right into a publc lake . You could not even get by with it on your oun privte lake .

I live in a behind the times hills and hollars county . The gov is always testing the streams and if your poo is getting in it your shut down , they dont like the idea of the cows having free run of the streams . I really dont think a large public lake would not care if you take a dump in there lake or the stream that feeds it . To many tree hugging groups around to let these kind of things happed anymore . Maybe up in the mountians where it is not very populated it is not regulated as much .

had to clean mine out a month or so ago, didnt quit ,but one of nanas little helpers didnt get the door shut and i found it about three days later.was kind of afraid to refreeze the stuff,,good thing deer season is coming up soon.

Well since you do not live in this area you do not know what your talking about like always. This lake was built in the 30s and yes there are housing that have leach lines that come right out of the sea walls and you can in fact see T.P. and turds floating out of them. They get by with it because they have been there for decades as in they grand father them till they have to replace there systems. I have seen it at many places with my own eyes. That is why a lot of the public beaches in the lake are closed in the summer

I've been on the lake of the Ozarks and OLD is correct. As a Master Plumber I KNOW what raw sewage and effluent from the septic lines look like.

I can't believe their is not more enforcement on that. Must be a good old boy system or grandfather clause or something.

Always called it "the Lagoon of the Ozarks" I haven"t been anywhere near the water in 15 years. The wife and her family all swim and fish, but they are from the city and don"t know any better.
