04 f250 parking brake plate

I have an '04 F-250 as well, I replaced one parking brake plate this past summer, the axle shaft needs to be pulled out, remove the six (?) bolts, it comes right out, if you jack that side of the axle up high, you won't loose too much axle grease, need to remove the brakes and rotor as well, just wire the brake caliper up out of the way, no need to take the hose off and loose brake fluid, then remove the hub from the axle housing, plan on replacing the inner seal when you do this as well.
I also found a step by step procedure on line, (just googled it),if you read it closely, it gives retorque values and bearing tightening procedures as needed.
Good luck, took me an afternoon.
