| It's the part in the trip on a jd corn planter that changes the marker from one side to the other on planters with chains to lift the markers. Like for models 490 and 1240. Goes between the chains on the lift where the chain goes around the pully behind the main frame. It locks one side alowing the other to drop the marker. When you turn the chains hooked on the drawbar pull it to the other side so it locks the other side dropping the other marker. |

| That's what I thought also. A pivot bolt went thru where the three legs meet and the hole at the other end a spring latched into. The spring would hold it over center one way or the other. |
