My lil tractor will not go into gear. all was working good. I put into SL gear to do some tilling. all good. tried to put back into normal gears when done. upps grinds a lot. as if clutch is not diengaged. looked at linkage all good clutch adj is correct. clutch feels normal. throwout bearing is going in and out. the pto clutch and all works fine. if i start it in gear it runs no slippage or anything. just cant clutch it. is it possible that the SL gear thing did not come all the way back to normal gear place? I am soooo confused!!! help |

| Try using the PTO clutch pedal to engage/disengage SL. |

| You may have to take the top of the tranny off.
There could be something got loose on the shifter quadrant or fork.
It ain't rocket science in there. |

| all the gears seem to shift normally as long as tractor is not running. it seems that the main clutch is not disengaging. I can start the tractor with it in any main gear and it drives fine. just no clutch .. |
