On my New Holland 845 round baler, there are 6 leaf spring steel pieces that are in the back of the bale chamber. These have the top curled over to protect the bale when it comes out of the baler. Two of them had the curled part break off this week end when I was baling. I called Messicks and they said they are on back order and they dson't know when or if they will get any of them in. My question is, why couldn't I split a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 pipe and braze it over the top of them. Braze instead of weld due to them being spring steel. I sure will welcome any comments. The Messicks part# is 257375. Keith |
