 Though it took 35 tons of pressure to press them apart... After cleaning everything up with emery paper, my husband was able to press the shaft into the replacement front axel for our Farmall Regular. Yeah!! We have a low ceiling in the shop, so he did have to move his press outside the shop, chain it to the tractor bucket - then raise it up a little and block it, so the shaft had clearance - but he did get it back together. |

| Cowman, Had to give in and take it to a machinist who has a really big press with proper framing to handle it.Machinist chained his press to a forklift to raised it to get clearance needed to get this good shaft out of our bad original axel. Also required a lot of heat in addition to the 35 tons of pressure. |

| Way to go! Sometimes it takes a little head scratchin', but a good mechanic can generally come up with a workable solution. |
