A Kemper 3000 head or has any manuals for one. Like always wait till the last min. to do anything . A friend bought one at a sale in January brought it home unloaded it and that was that . NOW that it is getting time to fill the bunkers we are in panic mode got to get this thing up and running . Well on my part some books that are in ENGLISH would be a big help , local dealer is of little help as well it is old and since you guys are not on the A list we MIGHT be able to get parts IF you need them but it will take time .

I see a lot of those units around here. Call Plains Equipment and see what you can find out.

Like the others have posted you can get the manual on line at several places. The real problem you are going to have is that a Kemper old style 3000 head was not a very good one to start with. Then to make it even better many of the parts for them have to come out of Germany. I have seen shafts back ordered for up to six months.

If you never have worked on a Kemper head you are going to either loose your religion or find it. I wish you luck as you will need it.

Oh aren't we the barrier of all kinds of happy news , but hey at least I did not sell it to him or twist his arm into buying it . And if it is true that getting THE SHAFT out of Germany takes UP_ TO six months then i get to be the barrier of bad news that may be we should have drug it out of the weeds like 7 months ago and started working on it so it would be ready to go to work in seven and half months. This is what really Pizzes me off these guys do not think ahead and wait till the last min. Then i am suppose to become god and raise the dead back to life . Then they don't understand when i get grouchy. Then the other thing that really gets me is product support (1) if your going to sell this GLOBAL economy stuff then have a parts support that can back it up with in a couple days . And with anything after it has been in the field ya sure know where the weak points are and what is going to break so either recall and fix or have the parts on hand updated to make the repairs fast . Thanks for your come back . Guess i should have started the morning off with Crown Royal instead of coffee.

JD bought Kemper out. The parts supply actually got better. I think Kemper did well when they only sold in Europe. When they went world wide it took them down. Some JD dealers are real good on these heads. They have been selling self propelled forage harvester for awhile. The other dealers are lost. I just found out that JD is separating out the self propelled contract so that the dealers that can sell them have experience with them. Plus parts.

I don't know where you are located at but there are two real good JD forage harvester dealers around me here in North-east Iowa. Be glad to send you contact info. Email is open.
