John Deere Tractor Year unknown

One thing at a time. Find the serial number first and try to get it right. Easy to misread some of those old numbers. Look for a small brass plate on the left side of the tractor just forward and above the flywheel on early models or on the right side above the pulley on later models. A lot of those old tractors are missing the serial number plate. Then it's up to you. You could spend a lifetime or you might get lucky by tracing it back through previous owners. Green Magazine and the Two Cylinder Club would be places to look for help.
