ford 5200 loaders

I have a 1973 ford 5200 / 5000 row crop. I would like to put an original equipment or comperable loader on it. Does anyone have any advice for me, as far as what model to consider? I was told a 772 would fit but would be a little lite for a 5200.

I can't tell you which model will fit your tractor but the 772 was used on 3000, 4000 size tractors. Probably a bit light and a bit short for your 5000.

Ford had a couple models that would fit the 5200. I think there were mounts to put the 772 on the 5200...but whoever told you it would be a bit light was right. There was at least one other model, but I don't have my sales literature handy right now. I'll try to remeber to take a look and post back tomorrow morning.

777 would be mabey a bit more modern but would be well sized for that tractor. It'll be slow unless you figure out how to get some oil to it tho. Front stinger pump is out on the 5200.

The 774 is the other model of Ford loader that will fit. '76 sales literature says it fits the 5600-9600, and shows it on a 6600 row crop, which is just an updated 5200.
If you dont' specifically want a Ford loader, Westendorf makes good loaders, and has mounts to fit nearly anything.
