I am new to the tractor rebuilding industry and have lots of questions. My wife's grandmother has a ferguson T035 that both back rims are rusted through. Can a person find some used rims and tires for a tractor like this? Can I fix the old ones? Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Used ones maybe hard to find. Check with M E Miller.com and see what they have. I found some blanks and welded my centers in them.

The tractor was common and I'm sure rims are common. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think MF rims fit up through at least MF135. I also think Ford and Dexta rims fit. 28 inch rims were common, but relative had a 35, don't remember if it was a TO 35 or a MF 35 with a 4 cyl diesel engine, and it had 24 inch rims.

As for repairing the rim, that depends how much is rusted through, but lots of rims have been welded.

Over last several years I have had 3 rear rims patched where rusted thru, just buy or find a used rim of similar size, cut out a patch and weld in place. Then clean it up and paint it. Much cheaper than new and I should have been doing it all along.

Yeah the 28 inch 6 loop rims are the same on all fergies, MF's and alot of Fords until recently... but.. there are atleast 3 different 24 inch rims, 6 loops, common, clamp rings, they are around, but also 'power adjust' rims... if you/ she/ it? has 4 diagonal square bars on the rims, and these are rotten... you better try to have them repaired in a welding shop. They are hundreds each. The others, 24 or 28 inch should be in any tire or tractor parts shop for less than 200 each. Sometimes it is cheaper than having a stranger weld them, get some price qoutes for all options. Remember mounting dismounting is atleast 50 each, and new tubs are pushing a bill.
These are pics of me trying to salvage a pair of 28 inch power adjust rims, what a trip. If they weren't $900 a pair, I would not have gone thru all this, which is why some welding shops will not be cheap. Good luck.
