Not much of a dealer. And they wonder why we end up going to Messicks or Carter & Grunewald.

Isn't your distributor a Delco?, Common parts,
But my IH Scout had a Holley Distributor, NAPA
could get points, condenser, but had to order
them.

Right here on this site first. I have got good prices on my parts for my C. Not to mention the fact they keep this site going for us. Your IH dealer will have them too and they can ship to you. Steiner Tractor has alot of parts also.

Did he say, "Today"s spark plugs all have resistors as mandated by the EPA. The thing will never run right unless you use my 55,000 volt coil and let me set up your distributor" ...or something like that?

Our town is small, but the Car Quest parts store carries, or can get about any Tractor part over night. They even have parts books for Tractors, RTV, and ATV's. Take the old parts in and a good parts man can match them up.

Most any good auto parts store, if you don"t have an IH dealer.

My local IH dealer doesn't even know what a 400 tractor is.

Are there any "local" IH dealers? Nearest I can tell, the closest one to me is about 250 miles. But the good news is, they ship- so get a parts book, call them, and you'll have your part in a day or two.
