sorry dont know how to add a link, just figured out paste.

With out the serial and model number it could be several tractor models. You can paint any of them blue. Also without the hood and the the other junk on the front it is not much of a "buy" even if it is a Ford 2000.

Skin costs a lot these days, it has no skin. Think that would run $800 on a farm auction, depends how it runs of course, and what the deal is on the radiator?

There were 3 different North American 2000s. There was the 4 cylinder model from late 1962 -1964, the early 3 cylinder from 1965- Feb. 1968 and the late 3 cylinder from Mar. 1968 - 1974.

There were two 2000s.
Pre 4/65 4 cylinder model which was a 600/601 painted Blue
and 4/65 - 11/75 3 cylinder model.
Yes the 3 cyl 2/3/4000s underwent many refinements between 65 and 75 but those refinements are mostly esoteric.
The basic tractor is fundamentaly the same and all parts will interchange between 2000/3000 through out the model run.
As for the tractor in question, I think if you need one it is a pretty good deal.
From here it looks like a 4 speed but could likely have a Sherman combo which is very handy.
I would ask the seller about that.
I would offer a Grand and see if he takes it.
Heck, it looks like those Goodyears on the back are worth half of that.
If you are not concerned about the correctness police the tin from any small Ford from 53 to 65 will fit.
Top dollar for a clean, good running 'Prior' is in the $3500 to $4000 range. Plenty of room there to buy some tin and maybe a radiator.
It's definately worth looking at IMO.
