I passed this outfit while traveling for work yesterday. I was located outside of Florence SC. They were cutting corn. Sorry pics are not any better, but had to use work hand held computer.

I hope pic load

Glad I am semi-retired the size of equipment today has gotten beyond my comprehension. I am not sure I could afford the diesel the tractor pulling wagon burns a day.

I think they were combining corn. That's 12 acre worth.

When I was a kid growing up, we had grain bins that were not that big. What is on there? 1000 bu?

Thats funny!! we had 3 bins for oats and barley and all 3 were about 1200 bu. each. lol That thing would fill 1 1/2 bins! And it would take about 13 wagon loads to fill it. That was a full days work for the 960 case combine or 1 1/2 days for the New Idea Super Sheller. That cracks me up. Never thought about it that way before.

Just a guess, but it looks like maybe 1500 or more. That front assist tractor isn't any too big for that cart. You'd be surprised at how much horsepower it takes just to run the unloading auger. If the tractor RPM's are too low when the grain comes into the auger the tractor will bog down and probably kill. Jim
