I Google’d it but do not quite get it.
NPT - Nation Pipe Thread, tapered
NPTF - National Pipe Thread Fuel
They do not state the taper on NPTF but include this statement,
"NPTF threads are the same basic shape but with crest and root heights adjusted for an interference fit, eliminating the spiral leakage path."
And refer to it as a,
"Semi-compatible variant".
What does that mean? Will they mate up? I know Straight SAE will not.
Looking at a live swivel and the part states NPTF. I will be hooking up to 1” steel pipe with NPT tapered threads.
