She's a beauty alright. You have to admire the guy for the amount of work he put into it. Now as to why he did it, I can only wonder. Too much spare time I think.

...and a twin sheeter to boot!

That has got to be one of the craziest things I've seen rolling. Thanks for sharing.

The "rat rods" are ruining the hobby, IMHO- seeing more and more of them, each one uglier than the last. I've been a hot rodder all my life, and I truly "don't get it."

At least this guy can't get upset if you call it a pile of cr@p. . .

Just expressing an opinion, Dave2- and you would be the last person I would expect to object to that!

You just don't know creativity when ya see it....Anyone can redo the original, but it really takes talent and imagination to make sh'' up....

You need to work on them people skills mister....

some one must have sure had a bunch of old parts laying around! from the looks of that back seat,it would be nice to have on vacation with the kids.

I"m with you, Mike. These things are caricatures of what hot rods were...IMHO they make laughing stock out of the whole life style.

I also agree. It used to be that old guys had the coolest hot rods, and it was true because they had the time and money to actually finish it.

Minnesota sort of explains it: The winter in February means cabin fever has set in, the farm equipment repairs after harvest are done, the shop tools are there and wife says get out of house and away from TV. Leftover bits and pieces are in a corner to be cleaned, a couple rollover vehicles pulled from ditch get a insurance company abandoned for salvage slip so a good engine is avalable to fit on frame- but after making it run a body is needed and state has all sorts of inspection regs for a "rebuilt/salvager" vehicle-- but almost no hassle for a homemade "Implement of husbandry"-and if it looks like a self power manure spreader then it is a "implement of husbandry" that just needs brakes and some kind of muffler to be allowed on road, lights at night. Theft deterent also- the potential drug addled thieves don"t know of dealer who"d take it in trade and a police report of mobile manure spreader would get a quick response by any officer seeing it- hard to mistake for one of 10,000 others on local road like a stolen Ford Taurus(<--live stock reference here, beastly puns are fun). And at drag strip the bragging rights to fastest "crapper" or POS is good for couple free beers. Belleville, Wisconsin has a bunch of homemade UFOs made in Feb/March while waiting for the snow to melt, couple of them can keep up with highway traffic. RN

We got'm too. They are something you can have fun with without spending a small fortune on engines, wheels, chrome, upolstery, and paint. Make do with what you got. This one is far from as elaborate as that one. These people use it at the area tractor shows.

it is neet to see all of the responces from all you guys. someone told me about it being on this site. well it was a very fun project much easer than my 1963 chev c10 short box pu frame off resturation of 3 winters and parts from 4 diferant trucks thanks bruce

Hey Mr. Bauer, This is so neat. I have shared the photos with all my friends too. We are wondering what the red thing is behind the engine. Sort of looks like a small helmet or something.

Thanks,
