assuming that the 5506 is 1 of the older air cooled models, many of them didn't have power steering if i'm not mistaken, but i think that depended on 2wd or 4wd. i think the power steering on those are run off the main hydraulic pump. best thing would be check your manual if you have one. |

| Well i guess it would be the same as 6206/7206 or the 2 newer dx series we have. The power steering runs off the hydraulic pump so it uses hydraulic oil from the reservoir under the seat same as the rest of the hydraulic system. Check the manual but ours run the same weight oil in the hydraulics as the moter. |

Give it a little bit, maybe one of them smart texans'll chime in wif a good answer.... Watch for texasmark... he's purty slick sometimes and seems ta be bored about now.....
