I guess you could. Every one I know including me only eat the legs. You must have some pretty big frogs where you are at if you're thinking of cooking the whole frog.

You bet. When I was a lad we depended on the kill and the catch to put meat on the table. In the summer I made nightly frog-gigging rounds to about seven ponds. We ate back legs, front legs and sucked the backbone. Meat is meat.

(quoted from post at 22:52:25 06/02/12) What do frogs taste like??
CHICKEN! Don't you know nuthin????????

Just kiddin.... I used to go gigging as a kid and get loads of them but never had one..... Always got them for someone else that was gonna make sure they called me to eat when they fixed them
Mom refused to cook them after she tried the first time.... Dropped them (legs) in the skillet/oil and they started moving... She freaked and that was the end of frog anything inside our house.....

Taste like a cross between chicken with a slight fish flavor mixed in. Little oil, lightly flour, salt, pepper, then fry..

And yes, the do tend to kick a little when in the frying pan. Doesnt seem to affect the taste. ha ha.

Rick

Why not, there is no impediment but make sure they are not poisonous.
They are a good indicator of the health of your waterways so kill them and buy a water tester, also they are disappearing from some areas, would that mean too many people are eating them or is there an environmental message being given.
