Neighbors BTO

Have neighbors that are BTO's. They have there own big wheel sprayer. They sprayed to burndown before planting. Apparently didn't do any pre emerge either. Corn was coming up, but now can barely see it do to grass and weeds. 3/4 inch rain last night and humid as heck today with more chances of rain. They are out there spraying again and makeing tracks everywhere. Will the round up stick in this humid weather. my thinking is it will not become rain resistance with the humidity?

Depends on the formulation, of RU that they use. Some is rainfast in about 20 minutes, original formulation needs 6-12 hrs, IIRR.

Humidity won't matter. Round up is pretty rain fast as already mentioned.

Still beating the surfactant drum. It can make all the difference. Humidity actually helps a little, keeps the spray on the plant longer before evaporating.

I'd prefer the humid for Rup.

We have had 8+ inches of rain this month, as well as 30-45mph steady winds the few dry days between the heavy rain events.

Not much getting sprayed around this part of MN.

I have sprayed Roundup Ultra, and had it work, as long as I made it out of the field, before the downpour. The first year we used Touchdown, I had quite a few wrecks, because it got rained on with in 6 hours.
I preferred high humidity when spraying anything, as long as it didn't rain. What a person is looking for, is a plant that is actively growing, so it takes in the chemical.
