Its been dang windy up here

dont know where all this wind is coming from but all week its been blowing hard. I dont remember so much wind up here in the past.
I should be done seeding this week. Last year I could not get on the field until the middle of june so things are going a little smoother this year.

Huge fire about 30 miles east of us here, Hwy 63 to Ft Mac shut
down due to smoke, looks like fire season has started. Fire bans
throughout the county.
 
What crops do you grow up there? Kind of curious about what you can plant in the middle of June, with your short season.

planted oats last year, I didnt make seed but I baled it up and made green feed. Un fortunatly I didnt sell any because the hay crops up here did very good. There is still bales sitting in peoples fields. Im planting oats again this year and hoping to make seed this fall????
 
You seem to do better planting sawblades and growing sawmills :roll:

How much land do you have??? Just fascinates me when I scrape and beg with 12 and more "landlords" to accumulate 12 acres :roll:
 
My wife and I rode my motorcycle through your neck of the woods last summer on our way to AK. It was in July and that was some of the worst wind I've Ever rode in. Almost parked the bike until in died down. We had motel res. so had to keep plugging.

My neighbor put the country on fire last fryday,i think he tried burning some trash with that wind blowing :roll:

The fire got to within 300 yards of my house and yard before it was stopped. :shock:
It took 3 heli's and a water bomber plane 2 days to put it out.
It burned 1/2 ml of my powerline as well,been without power for 2 days,i just got it back 1 hr ago.
