'm REAL guilty of putting off little repairs, etc because they might turn into a longer story and cause a holdup somewhere else. End upspending much more time working around or milking the problem that the fix...
Case in point today.... Got a water tank that is always leaking where it had a flat plate welded on to be welded to the running gear. Same tank has slow leaks in both tires and has to be pumped up with my little 12v compressor before moving. Same size tires as on the frt of my tractor. Had 2 new tires/tubes for the tractor for a few weeks now (rountuit issues)..... Today, brought the empty tank in to the house, got ambitious and cleaned the tank leak area, kneaded some 2 part epoxy putty, and fixed the leak. While it waa setting up, took the frt tractor wheels off and the tank wheels. Loaded them in the car, turned on the water, and went to the neighbor kid's place. Me and his dad put the new tractor tires/tubes on the tractor rims and swapped the old ones for what was on the tank rims. Back in the car, home, and had them all mounted and had time for a beer before the tank was full...
Ashamed to say how long I'd been milking that along

Never do today what you should have done yesterday if you can do it tomorrow has always worked for me.

little fixes usually end up in bigger fixes i find ,cause most times you got to remove parts to get to the one thing you intend on fixing.
Then you find the removed parts need some attention as well. While one is at it one could well end up doing a complete rebuild of the whole machine.
