Anyone go to Walworth for the auction? Any thoughts on it?? We are sitting here watching it online, wish the commentators would keep quiet and go back to talking about something they know about.

I was there.. A lot of JD green. Some real nice pieces and some OK. Noticed most all went up the block under their own power. Not to many towed up.
Waterloo Boy went for 105K.
Anything else just ask.. Ill try to answer...

was there as well.

two other notables:

The IH 8-16 went for 12,000. I talked with the sellers a good bit, parts wise it was a totally original tractor they had repainted and ran well.

the Titan 10-20 was towed through, I asked the driver why they didn't start it and he didn't know. I got the feeling watching them right around that point in the lineup there were some mixups and a couple of tractors didn't get in line at the right time so maybe they panicked on time. its still brought 15,000 I beleive.

Spoker D had engine issues, looked nice but when they pull started it it smoked badly and when I looked at it afterwards it was covered in oil. I think it went for 9800.

Overall it turned out to be a nice day. I didn't take my camera expecting rain so of course it didn't rain. Big crowd early on thinned out around noon, took over an hour to get through the small stuff. Seemed like the dealers were still having the run of it, but prices were all over the board, maybe trending on the low end, though with the tiered flat rate buyers premium it was slightly deceptive.

Been to all their tractor auctions so far, they put on a good show. After the first one, they started catering a lot more to the nicer looking restored ones it seems like and not restoration candidates and parts tractors. Certainly some deals to be had.

I was there almost to the end. Some interesting items:SW-4 with plow, $6200. SMD $6200, 450D $4200, 1206 $15,000, MH PACER $3400. MH Pony $3200, 1957 Cub $4800, SMta $3750, SW6ta, $4000, Oliver 1550 $6000, JD 40S nice original $4900, MC crawler $3700, Lindemann Crawler around $9000, 1951 Farmall H, Perfect original $1400. Common tractors I thought were light. Most of highly restored were very strong. Very well run auction. I have sold at their previous auctions and they are excellent to deal with.

Didn't during auction, I think the high bid was under 9000 (8300 sticks in my head, but I might be wrong on that one) and the announced reserve was 10,000. They couldn't get it crank started right off so pull started it. It ran out of gas while in the line and restarted right up on the first crank.

The last bid I saw on the NH baler was about $1900, but I don,t think it sold. All the results should be posted on their website shortly, they usually are.

The NH Baler is now for sale on C-List for $4950.

"SMta $3750, SW6ta, $4000"

Either these two were ROUGH, or we've finally seen the market for these break...
