Got a mare due and showing signs of dropping in a couple hours since Friday afternoon... Still nothin..... Just suckin up the attention and special treatment (the mare is).... Think I'm the most nervous one on the place

Guess when this stuff stops being exciting, it's time to call the butcher and hang it up tho.....

Done now....

Take this from a jacka$$ that had a horse named after him. Horses were foaling since long before you were around without your help. Mother nature will normally do the job very well. I wouldn't try to step in until after the feet have appeared for two or three hours. Just take it easy, mommy---

I know... But the ones that we are there for and imprint train when before letting them up to see mom are so much friendlier and easier to train later....... Never have to "catch" or "hold" the imprint trained ones and they hang out with us just like they do thier moms. The pins & needles/time spent now pays for itself rten times over... Still not fun tho
