Trying to remember that everywhere else it is just another Tuesday.
If you are one that thinks you have seen everything a walk around this town in the next 24 hrs will make you reliaze you have not seen anything yet.

And yes all the floats are pulled by tractors.

Got plastered with a few friends one August evening about forty years ago and decided to go Mardi Gras. Got about fifty miles when we decided we were sobering up and went home for some more beer. Those old Harleys got cold at night in t-shirts--

I was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras when I was in the USMC. Glad I survived it, and NEVER going back again. Most disturbing event on earth....

Did not realize you had parades over there.
My granddaughter (7) talked to my wife the other day and asked if we could come get her and take her to Mardi Gras.

I do not think she can comprehend just how far they live from us now.
